Custom B2B wholesale platform for sustainable fashion
IvoryTex is a Chilean sustainable fashion wholesaler selling large-volume textile orders to buyers across South America. Off-the-shelf platforms couldn't handle their requirements: minimum order quantities per product, tiered pricing by buyer segment (Retail, Wholesale, VIP), bilingual Spanish/English content, and local South American payment methods.
We built a fully custom B2B e-commerce platform on Laravel 12, Vue 3, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL — with a custom pricing engine, MOQ enforcement at checkout, a buyer account application and approval workflow, and locale-specific product descriptions that switch between Spanish and English based on the buyer's selected language.
What IvoryTex does
Tiered pricing engine
Three buyer tiers — Retail, Wholesale, and VIP — each with their own price schedule per product. Prices are resolved server-side based on the authenticated buyer's tier, never exposed as client-side overrides.
Minimum order quantity (MOQ)
MOQ rules are enforced per product at the cart and checkout levels. Buyers cannot proceed with an order below the minimum — with clear messaging explaining the requirement before they hit checkout.
Spanish / English content switching
Product names, descriptions, and UI labels switch between Spanish and English based on the buyer's selected locale. Locale-specific content is stored per product and rendered without a page reload.
B2B account application & approval
New buyers apply for a wholesale account with business details, tax ID, and order volume. Applications are reviewed in the admin and approved manually — unlocking wholesale pricing and higher MOQ thresholds.
Order history & reorder
Buyers can view their full order history, check invoice and delivery status, and re-add any previous order's items to cart with a single click — supporting the repeat-purchase pattern of wholesale buyers.
Full relational product data
All product, buyer, and order data is stored in PostgreSQL with full relational integrity — categories, variants, pricing tiers, and buyer accounts all linked and queryable for reporting and export.
