A custom e-commerce platform built for Pakistani fashion retail
Laiba Alam Clothing sells ethnic girlswear across Pakistan. Off-the-shelf platforms couldn't handle their product model — a single product in 8 sizes × 5 colours (40 individual SKUs, each with its own stock count), a COD-first checkout, flash sales with precise server-side expiry, and an admin team that needed to restock a size without loading the full product edit form.
We built a fully custom platform on Laravel 13, Inertia.js v3, and Vue 3, handling all Pakistan-specific commerce realities: PKR pricing, Cash on Delivery, PayFast card payments, WhatsApp CTA, and barcode label printing directly in the browser.
Customer-facing features
Multi-SKU variant product pages
Every size × colour combination is a purchasable SKU with its own stock count and optional price override. Real-time stock per variant is shown on the product page.
Flash sale countdown timers
Limited-time prices with live countdowns. When the timer hits zero, the sale price expires server-side automatically — no manual intervention required.
Back-in-stock waitlist
Customers enter their email on a sold-out variant. The moment stock is restocked, an automated notification email is sent via Laravel queued jobs.
Visual order status timeline
Order detail pages show a 4-step timeline: Order Placed → Processing → Shipped → Delivered. Cancelled orders show as a red branch on the timeline.
WhatsApp floating CTA
A persistent WhatsApp button routes customers to the store's number with a pre-filled greeting — bridging browse-to-buy for Pakistan's WhatsApp-first shoppers.
Cart, wishlist & search
Persistent cart with coupon application and real-time totals. Wishlist with heart toggles. Header search with results page, plus curated collections with SEO slugs.
Operations tools
Variant matrix editor
Add sizes and colours, hit Sync — the system auto-generates every combination as a purchasable row. Bulk-set stock or price across all variants in one field.
Dedicated stock management
A focused screen shows all variants with current stock and a new-stock input. Restock an entire product in 30 seconds without touching the full product form.
Barcode label printing
JsBarcode renders CODE128 barcodes as SVGs in the browser. Three label sizes, copy-count per variant, clean print stylesheet. No third-party software needed.
Analytics dashboard
Revenue bar chart (7-day), order status doughnut, month-over-month KPI cards, daily trend charts, and a top-products horizontal bar — all built on Chart.js.
Feature flag system
Toggle COD, PayFast, reviews, wishlist, search, newsletter, discount codes, and waitlists on or off from Settings. No code deploy required.
Full order management
Status machine (Pending → Processing → Shipped → Delivered / Cancelled). Cancelling restores variant stock. Bulk status updates and PDF invoice generation.
